"The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos. A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children’s rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between teachers / adults and pupils, between adults and between pupils."
Due to the hard work of our pupils and staff, we gained The Rights Respecting Schools Award, Level 1. This is a fantastic achievement for Priory Primary, and one that highlights our commitment to putting the Convention of the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of everything we do.
There are various international days throughout the course of the year as stated below:
International Day of Peace (21st)
International Day of Mental Health (10th)
Universal Children’s Day (20th)
Human Rights Day (10th)
Our journey now continues, with the focus on gaining the RRSA Level 2 Award. We will strive to ensure that rights respecting, underpins the core values of our school and is embedded in our school ethos.
