Collective Accountability Statement
Our Commitment to Shared Responsibility and Excellence
As a family of schools within Hales Valley Trust, we affirm our collective accountability for the success, safety, and well-being of every pupil in every academy across our Trust.
This statement sets out our shared commitment and expectations across our Trust community — including leaders, staff, pupils, and parents/carers.
1. Pupil Outcomes
- We are collectively accountable for the educational outcomes of all pupils, regardless of which school they attend.
- Leaders and staff collaborate across our schools to raise standards, share best practice, and ensure excellence in teaching and learning.
- Parents and carers are partners in learning — we expect them to engage with their child’s education, support attendance and learning at home, and work closely with schools to promote progress.
2. Inclusion, Safeguarding, and Well-being
- The Trust is united in its commitment to safeguarding and the physical and emotional well-being of every child.
- We promote inclusion and equity across all schools.
- Parents and carers play a vital role in safeguarding by maintaining open communication with school staff and supporting their child's mental and emotional development.
3. Financial and Operational Accountability
- The Trust has collective responsibility for strong financial governance and resource efficiency.
- All schools work together to ensure public funds are used transparently and in the best interest of pupils.
- Parents and carers are encouraged to engage in school communities, participate in feedback opportunities, and support the responsible use of resources.
4. School Improvement and Capacity Building
- No school is left behind. Trust-wide data analysis and self-review inform improvement priorities.
- High-performing schools support others through shared expertise, leadership, and resources.
- Parents and carers contribute to school improvement by engaging in consultation processes and supporting the school’s vision and improvement goals.
5. Trust Ethos and Values
- We commit to the Hales Valley Trust values of Respect, Resourceful, Resilient, ensuring they underpin all that we do.
- All stakeholders — including leaders, teachers, pupils, and families — are expected to uphold these values.
- Parents and carers model and reinforce these values at home and in the wider school community.
Working Together for Every Child’s Success
Together, we are stronger. Collective accountability means that every school supports and is supported by others. We believe that through close partnership with families, shared leadership, and mutual responsibility, we can transform life chances for every child.
