At Priory Primary School we believe in the importance of Pupil Voice.
The Junior Leadership Team role is an important one that gives the children the opportunity to express their views and make their opinions count. The team is an elected body of students who work with the Senior Leadership Team to improve the school.
The JLT in Priory Primary School is made up of students from Year 5 and 6. Children who were interested in the role put themselves forward for election by presenting a speech to the rest of the children in years 5 and 6 to let them know why they would be an ideal candidate. The rest of the children in years 5 and 6 then voted for their preferred candidate. The votes are counted and then the new JLT are announced.
The JLT meet regularly with the Headteacher or the most relevant member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss new initiatives and to give feedback from their peers on specific projects and topics.
Applications are now closed for Head boy and Head girl. These roles are taken very seriously at Priory Primary school and are usually responsible for representing the school at various events both at Priory and other schools. They may attend meetings with the Senior Leadership team and with Mrs Craig and the governors.
Interviews have taken place last week and successful canditates will be announced shortly, good luck!
